HISTORY

Suntory Garuda Beverage (SGB) was established as a strategic alliance in 2011 between Suntory in Japan and Garudafood in Indonesia. The joint venture gave Suntory access to one of the world’s fastest-growing markets, with more than 268 million population. Garudafood stood to benefit from Suntory’s world-renowned expertise as a manufacturer of beverages, food and health products.

In the years since its inception, SGB has grown to become one of the leading beverage companies in Indonesia. We offer a varied portfolio of beverages, from OKKY Jelly Drink and Mountea ready-to-drink tea to MYTEA bottled tea and Good Mood water + natural goodness. Some of these are established Indonesian favorites, while others are new innovations made possible by the advanced technology of Suntory in Japan.

SGB does not only strive to manufacture products that meet the highest possible standards in quality and safety, we go much further than that. In line with Suntory group's value of "Giving back to society," SGB has worked continuously to expand and enrich its CSR and sustainability programs, focusing on three areas: social, environment and governance. Our commitment to society includes educational activities such as career talks and factory tours. In January 2019, SGB launched the Suntory "Mizuiku" program, which teaches younger generations the importance of clean water and conserving water resources.
